The Sweet Bitterness of...Thanksgiving!

Well, Lulu's and my day started out early, 6:30a to be exact. The thermometer in my car read 41 degrees and we were off to participate in the 30th Annual St. Petersburg Times Turkey Trot. It's become a Thanksgiving tradition for us. We participated in the 5K Wingding and improved our time by SIX minutes over last year!!! 48 minutes to complete a 5K may not be impressive to some, but for us, it's an incredible achievement. One that makes me very proud.

After the race, we had brunch with my parents and brother. Then, we returned home to prepare dinner. Everything was awesome! Lulu was such a big help. She baked and chopped and basted and sauteed and mixed and just about everything else required to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. I have the best daughter in the world!!

Drum, the macaroni and cheese was fantastic as usual! I'm so thankful to have you in my life. And not just because you make the world's best mac n' cheese!!!

Hope everyone had a Thanksgiving just has good as mine.

Oh yeah, if anyone knows who drives the light blue Town and Country mini van that lives near Brookside Dr. in Clearwater, please be sure to punch him in the throat and kick him in the balls!!!! He showed blatant disregard for the barricades at the end of his street, ignored the traffic control volunteer and endangered the lives of a large number of race participants when he drove across the street where we were lining up.

Ass.
