Talent scouts from NBC's "The Biggest Loser" will be holding open auditions at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on March 6.
Casting agents are looking for people with outgoing personalities who want to lose at least 100 pounds although the weight of the contestants that get on the show seems to increase with each season. The top prize is $250,000. They are casting for individuals or teams of two.
Auditions for "Biggest Loser" were held in Tampa last summer and more than 600 turned out.
Casting director D.J. Feldman says that was one of the largest turnouts ever and it's one reason they are coming back.
"We are casting for the fall and we encourage people who tried out before to come back and audition again," he says. "You might not have made it last time and this time you might have the personality and story that we are looking for."
Contestants must be 18 years old, as of May 24, 2010. A non-returnable photograph is requested. A short application form will be handed out at the audition.
Feldman says they guarantee that the first 500 people in line will be seen. "Sometimes we take a few more because we don't like to turn anyone away," he says.
People are not allowed to line-up prior to 7 a.m. The auditions on March 6 will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hard Rock at 5223 N. Orient Road, Tampa.
