The Sweet Bitterness of...Jamey Johnson
I've always been a fan of country music. In high school, when my friends were listening to Madonna and Wham!, I was listening to Willie, Waylon and Hank Jr.
It's the song writing and the emotion the song invokes that keeps me a fan and Jamey Johnson epitomizes what it takes create one of those songs.
Lulu and I saw him perform this past June at CMA Fan Fair in Nashville. He performed alone. No back-up singers. No band. Just Jamey and his guitar.
After you watch this video, imagine hearing this song performed in the middle of the the Tennessee Titan stadium with 70,000+ country fans all quietly, intently listening to every word.
I get chills and a little teary every time I hear this song...
