The Sweet Bitterness of...Mother/Daughter bonding.

Yesterday afternoon, Lulu Belle and I watched the movie that probably most epitomizes my middle school and high school years, Dazed and Confused.

This movie really brings me back. The clothing, the music, the cars and the attitude. Although I myself, was not a "stoner", I did spend a lot of time in the bus lane with them, so I can relate. And having spent many, many hours in local game rooms, the Emporium seems all too familiar

Well, as the soundtrack was playing throughout the movie, Lulu Belle continued to recognize the songs. I was so proud. Proud that I had raised her to appreciate rock when it was pure and not digitally enhanced.

Come to find out, the only reason she recoginzed the songs, was because she had mastered them on Guitar Hero III for Wii.

Oh well, at least Lulu's first rock concert was Aerosmith...and I took her!
