The Sweet Bitterness of...medical intervention (but not the Starr Jones kind...)

I had been feeling pretty crappy for the past few months. I figured it was just part of getting older.

Well, I had Dr's appointment a couple weeks ago. The nurse checking me in asked if the waiting room was cold. I told her I did not find it uncomfortable. She then told me that I had no blood in my fingertips. She asked if she could draw some blood. Well, after squeezing and squeezing my finger to get enough blood to test, voila', I'm anemic!!!! I had no idea...

Too make a long story short, my Dr. recommended that I get a blood transfusion, I responded "Oh hell, no!", so she prescribed a twice daily dose of a once-a-day medication.

All I know know is that the medication works! I cannot believe how much better I feel!!!!
I researched anemia online and found I had almost every symptom: Leg cramps, Dizziness, Unexplained Headaches, Fatigue, Insomnia, Rapid Heartbeat during Exercise and Loss of Energy.

Nearly every symptom has subsided and I feel fabulous!!!!
