I'm Proud, and Lulu can be proud, and Lola too!

My Alma Mater, Eckerd College, has once again made The Princeton Reviews list of best colleges. 371 Best Colleges, to be exact. The Princeton Review says, "We commend Eckerd College for its outstanding academics, which is the primary criteria for our choice of schools for the book. We also work to keep a wide representation of colleges in the book by region, size, selectivity and character. We make our choices based on institutional data we gather about schools, feedback from students attending them, and input from our staff who visit hundreds of colleges a year. We also value the opinions and suggestions of our 23-member National College Counselor Advisory Board, and independent college counselors we hear from yearlong."

Lulu is a current student at Eckerd, and Lola is an Eckerd College Mom! So we can all be proud of this great accomplishment.

Woo Hoo! We are actually just bullshitting our way to 4 o'clock because the professor got in trouble for letting us go early last week!!!

I now have two weeks off before my final term begins. My two classes are Operating Systems (with the same professor as Data Communications, at least I know his style!)and Florida History. Cap and gown orders go out next week. 69 days until graduation!!! I am getting excited!!!

The Sweet Bitterness of... Winter Term

Winter term for Eckerd consists of one class all week for two hours. Majority of students study abroad (travel to other countries or states) all the freshmen go home and it was the easiest three weeks of my life!

My class was called: Sci Fic/Lat Am & Spain. We met Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur from 01:30pm-03:30pm which was a good thing because it gave me plenty of time to read the stories for that day. The book is called Cosmos Latinos and my teacher was one of the translaters to write the book. Awesome right?

I truely only took this class to fulfill my global perspective, but these two weeks of class were pretty fun. To my amazement I actually liked reading the sci-fi stories in the book and the best part was that I got to write my own science fiction story!

I think the story came out pretty good, so if anyone wants to give it a read..

The Sweet Bitterness of...Passing my Writing Exhibit!!!

Yes, the last hurdle between me and graduation was my writing exhibit, and I found out last night that I passed!!! Now its just three more classes and I am DONE!!! The writing exhibit is four different types of collegiate papers - Research, Reflective, Position, and Narrative. The exhibit goes before a review committee, and they determine if your writing meets their criteria. I know, boring stuff, but it is a big achievement and I am PROUD of it. So there.

Now we have one more person who is almost half way through at Eckerd College, and that would be little Lulu Belle LaFayette! As Lulu said previously, Go Tritons!
