Vacation means vintage movie time!!

I'll be the first to admit, I have a really difficult time staying awake during movies. Most modern day movies are too long, too boring and just too over-the-top
for me. I don't really have a favorite movie actor/actress. Mostly, they just annoy me.

I'm on vacation until after the beginning of the year and one of my favorite things to do is to watch old movies, especially those from the 50's and 60's. I love anything starring Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Debbie Reynolds, Sandra Dee, Frank Sinatra and even Frankie and Annette. The stories, the clothing, the sets...I love it all! Movies from those decades were not made to be controversial, but compared to today's standards, they are.

Last night, I recorded 'Susan Slept Here' starring Debbie Reynolds. It was great! Debbie Reynolds plays a juvenile delinquent forced to live with Dick Powell, to stay out of jail Well, they end-up getting married, even though he's 15+ years older than her, and she's a minor.

Yet to be recorded are: 'Singin' in the Rain', 'Top Hat', and 'The Tender Trap'.

I'm looking forward to some quality movie time this week...
