I have been counting down the number of days until B'Gosh arrives back in Florida. Well, day 13 was a true countdown day, but the countdown actually ended on day 12, and it was a conspiracy!!!
Lola and B'Gosh, unbeknownst to me, were secretly communicating with each other and planning a surprise arrival for B'Gosh this past Tuesday. I gave Lola the perfect excuse to come to my house on Tuesday by asking to borrow a jelly roll pan. She said she would be happy to drop it by my house because she would be in the neighborhood, to which I replied that she could just bring to work with her the next day. She insisted, and I said Ok.
Just about the time I was thinking she wasn't going to come by with the pan after all, I see Lola's car pull up in front of the house, but she doesn't turn her lights off. I assume she is sending someone to the door with the pan, just as I see someone rush past the window. I open the door, expecting to see Lulu, and there stands B'Gosh, with a big cheshire cat grin on his face. I was shocked, and all I could say was, "What are you doing here?" Needless to say, it was a very happy surprise, and I don't think I have stopped smiling since.
And the best part is that even though he is on his way back to Oshkosh as I write this, he will be back the following Sunday for ELEVEN DAYS!!! So the countdown begins again today. Seven days until B'Gosh is back in town. I am head over heals, and over the moon!!!
