Back in the good ol' days, Lola used to entertain us on our Orlando trips by giving dramatic readings of the stories in the tabloid the Weekly World News. Besides the man who eats Little Boy Pot Pie, one of our favorite recurring characters was always Batboy! It turns out that I have two tickets to opening night of...Batboy The Musical!!! Based on a story in the tabloid newspaper Weekly World News, BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL is a musical comedy/horror story about a half boy/half bat creature that is discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia. As Bat Boy begins to acclimate to his new surroundings, in the home of the local veterinarian and his family, this sleepy rural community gets turned upside down as secrets are revealed, intolerance runs rampant, and hysteria eventually ensues. Soon the entire town discovers the truth and shocking secret of Bat Boy’s unholy origin.
